In an industry like ours, with so many evolving challenges and shifting priorities, our mission continues to be an ever-growing and evolving one. Our focus continues to be on collecting knowledge and expertise, allowing us to collaborate with our clients, as well as our peers, while ensuring that our values continue to align with those of leading global organizations.
Our vision involves sharing our industry knowledge and experience to empower our customers as well as our industry partners to be successful in their asset management endeavors. We provide publications and user group meetings to help educate our customers. Our worldwide collaboration takes the form of committee and event participation, where we contribute papers, case studies, use cases, and more.
As our mission statement evolves, we continue to work in close proximity to global organizations that share our values, including the CIGRE (The Council on Large Electric Systems), and the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), sharing our insight while at the same time learning from industry leaders.
Allying with CIGRE
CIGRE is a collaborative global community committed to the world’s leading knowledge development programme for the creation and sharing of power system expertise.
Through its working groups and study committees, CIGRE facilitates the development and dissemination of new technologies and practices. By promoting research and innovation, CIGRE ensures that the industry continually evolves to meet the growing demands for reliable and efficient power systems.
Commitment to Innovation
Our alignment with organizations such as CIGRE highlights our shared commitment to innovation, knowledge sharing, and excellence. Our advanced monitoring solutions and collaborative approach resonate with CIGRE’s mission to develop and share power system expertise. Together, we play a crucial role in driving the power systems industry forward, ensuring that it remains resilient, efficient, and sustainable in the face of evolving challenges.
Knowledge Dissemination and Education
CIGRE is renowned for its role in knowledge dissemination. The organization’s conferences, publications, and working groups serve as platforms for sharing the latest research and developments in the electrical industry, and CIGRE’s commitment to education ensures that professionals worldwide have access to the knowledge and tools needed to enhance their operations.
Their annual knowledge programme, known as the Paris Session, attracts members from across the whole CIGRE global community and is the culmination of the previous two years of CIGRE’s vast knowledge base, ready to be shared with the global community at large.
Held this year on August 25th, The Paris Session is unlike any other conference, offering an in-depth interactive congress, where hundreds of papers are collaboratively debated, rather than simply presented, demonstrating the organization’s dedication to information collaboration.
The community event features thousands of professionals from over 90 countries and 1250 member organizations, including some of the world’s leading experts. At its heart are CIGRE’s 59 in-country National Committees offering diverse technical perspectives and expertise from every corner of the globe.
The Session plays host annually to:
- 3600+ delegates
- 6000 industry participants
- 90+ countries
- Massive trade exhibit
- 160+ working meetings
- 30+ Study Committee sessions
Each year, Dynamic Ratings participates in the Paris Session, sharing its own annual findings on why asset management is changing, and where it’s headed. Through webinars, training sessions, and technical papers, we provide valuable insights into asset management and monitoring, and through events like this one, we are able to educate the broader industry at large.
Our educational efforts complement CIGRE’s mission, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the industry, and we participate in several of their collaborative debate sessions in order to peer review and publish reports to help bolster best practices world-wide, to educate and improve the power industry.
Working with The IEEE
Dynamic Ratings also works in tandem with the IEEE, a trusted source of educational services and resources which strives to support technological innovation and excellence across the globe. Their vision includes fostering a worldwide technical community, and improving the knowledge of technical professionals worldwide.
IEEE strives to drive global innovation through brand collaboration, and the sharing of knowledge by enhancing public understanding of engineering and technology to pursue better standards.
The IEEE’s focus on committees in particular highlights their dedication to fostering a collaborative environment that is inclusive, free of bias, and that continues to sustain the strength, reach and vitality of a global technical community. This aligns with our commitment to sharing and disseminating knowledge and expertise for our clients around the world.
Dynamic Ratings’ commitment to educating its clients and facilitating knowledge exchange mirrors IEEE’s mission to create a global community of technology and engineering experts. Both organizations recognize that collaboration and the free flow of information are vital for addressing complex industry challenges and driving progress.
We participate in IEEE’s Transformer Committee which is composed of technical and managerial representatives with the purpose of actively engaging in discussions involving electrical transformer components, while also developing and updating standards and guidelines for transformers, ensuring that the engineering and technology sectors remain at the forefront of innovation.
Because both Dynamic Ratings and IEEE prioritize innovation as a cornerstone of operations, our efforts often overlap, which is why we routinely attend IEEE conferences.
EEA2024 Conference & Technology Exhibition
This conference brings together experts from around the world to exchange ideas, best practices, and research findings, while also serving as a platform for disseminating knowledge and fostering a collaborative spirit among industry professionals.
The three-day event (held in 2024 from the 10th to the 12th of September in Christchurch New Zealand) brings together thought leaders, technical and engineering experts, influencers, and those in the field, from across the energy industry to focus on finding solutions. It is about invigorating and empowering our people to step up to the challenge of delivering Aotearoa’s decarbonised future.
Dynamic Ratings is excited to be attending the event yet again, sharing our expertise and participating in a forum for new ideas, greater creativity, and diverse perspectives on renewable fuels, smart infrastructure, and the design and integration of new technologies.
Knowledge sharing is integral to the Dynamic Ratings philosophy, and attending events like this allows us to actively engage with industry stakeholders, while providing webinars and technical support to ensure that our clients fully understand and utilize their solutions. By fostering this collaborative environment, we help utilities make informed decisions about asset management.
Showcasing ConnectGrid™
At the event, Dynamic Ratings will be showcasing our ConnectGrid™ Smart Infrastructure Solution (SIS) as well as our TTM — a self-enclosed, three-phase power transformer monitor ideally suited for providing voltage and load profiling on distribution class transformers.
The Dynamic Ratings ConnectGrid™ Smart Infrastructure Solution (SIS) is an agile technology stack that enhances connectivity to grid edge assets for better management. The system is tailored to meet varying security, scalability and availability requirements and has many options available in architecture and communication technology.
The distribution system (electric power grid) represents the largest interconnected machine in the world. It is ideally suited for the ConnectGrid™ Smart Infrastructure Solution with distributed assets, condition-based monitoring, big data, machine to machine communications and a need for more sophisticated analytics.
The IoT platform can bridge operational technology hardware such as transformer monitor systems and line sensors with energy business systems such as PI. This ensures the data is securely and easily transmitted to all the stakeholders within a large organization so planning, construction and maintenance and asset management can all operate seamlessly with cooperation.
The Dynamic Ratings TTM is part of the ConnectGrid™ Smart Infrastructure Solution allowing for increased grid edge visibility for distribution systems. The TTM is a self-enclosed, three-phase power transformer monitor ideally suited for providing voltage and load profiling on distribution class transformers up to 69kV.
With secure integrated wireless communications utilizing cellular or LoRaWAN technologies, the easy-to-install TTM eliminates the need to manage a separate communication backhaul architecture or hang expensive and difficult to maintain pole mounted gateway enclosures. This makes the ConnectGrid™ TTM the fastest and easiest to maintain sensing solution for the distribution system.
