(PCS) delivers a cost effective and robust solution for establishing communications almost anywhere. The PCS is a hardened product that sends data across existing wire (shown below) therefore eliminating the costly need to install new copper or fiber cables. The communication is done either by TCP/IP, RS-232, or RS-485 and uses the latest data encryption technologies. The PCS hardware can be used to monitor the signal strength (show below) thus providing insight regarding maximum data transmission speeds.

Easy and Rapid Installation

Dynamic Ratings' PCS uses clip-on inductive couplers to transmit equipment condition information or SCADA data over existing wires already present in the substation yard. By using existing cables, Dynamic Ratings PCS products minimize engineering costs, reduce schematic revisions, avoid trenching or disrupting old wiring and provides a higher level of security than alternative methods.
